The brief
A cosy-kitchen picture book needed a cover with the same "you can almost smell it" warmth that the interior spreads deliver — detail-rich without losing focus on the child character.
The solution
Hand-drawn watercolour in cream, terracotta, olive and butter yellow. A small girl baking with her cat and mouse helpers, a sunbeam of floating flour dust, labelled jars and copper pots behind. The character sits at the centre of the warmth.
