Ebook cover dimensions
Amazon Kindle: 2,560 × 1,600 px (1.6:1 ratio), minimum 1,000 × 625 px. Ships as JPEG or TIFF at 300 DPI.
Apple Books: 1,400 × 1,873 px minimum. Recommended 2,000 × 3,000 px.
Kobo: 1,600 × 2,400 px recommended. 2:3 aspect ratio preferred.
Google Play Books: 1,400 × 2,100 px minimum, 2,400 × 3,200 px recommended.
Universal recommendation: design your ebook cover at 2,560 × 1,600 px. It meets every major retailer's requirements and looks sharp on Retina displays.
Print cover dimensions
Print covers are a full wrap — front cover + spine + back cover + bleed — sized in physical inches, not pixels. The formula:
Total width = back cover width + spine width + front cover width + bleed
Total height = trim height + bleed (top & bottom)
Bleed is typically 0.125 inches (3.2 mm) on all outer edges. Spine width is calculated from page count × paper weight (white paper ≈ 0.002252" per page, cream paper ≈ 0.0025" per page).

Audiobook cover dimensions
ACX / Audible: 2,400 × 2,400 px minimum, 3,200 × 3,200 px recommended. Square format only. Title and author text are mandatory and must be legible at 500 × 500 px.
Findaway Voices: 3,200 × 3,200 px, square, RGB.
